VIETNAM, Ninh Binh – Comprising several temples and over 500 intricately carved statues of Buddha, Bai Dinh Pagoda is Southeast Asia’s largest Buddhist complex. It is also a religious hotspot, where devotees gather to pray to Buddha and celebrated local and nature spirits, or seek a fortune telling from resident monks.

The best time to visit is during the Lunar New Year, when on the 6th Day, a vibrant celebration is held. Visitors can snack on authentic local foods, and even join in traditional games like tug-of-war or wrestling.
