CHINA, Zhangjiajie – The soaring natural pillars of Zhangjiajie are a sight to behold. Part of the famed Wulingyuan Scenic Area, the quartzite cliffs are known to have served as the main inspiration for filmmakers for the 2009 film Avatar.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

10 years on, and the entire area is a hub for tourists, with many flocking here to take in the surreal and calming atmosphere amidst the unique cliff formations. It’s a great destination all-year round and each season presents you with a different experience.
