THAILAND, Bangkok – Just 40km outside of Bangkok’s city centre. an enormous dragon flies out the pages of a fantasy novel, scaling up a 17-storey pink cylindrical tower. Interestingly, no one knows who constructed this massive architecture and when.

You won’t find the enigmatic Wat Samphran Temple on many lists of best temples to visit in Bangkok, and you won’t find many tourists here. Some say that the temple was built for monks to study and meditate and If you take the chance to walk the grounds, you’ll find many Buddhist iconography, statues, and shrines, including a huge bronze Buddha.

It is an architectural wonder that is as imposing as magnificent.
